Does Constant Contact work with HubSpot?

Does Constant Contact work with HubSpot?

Constant Contacts has been around for decades — they're one of the original online contact management companies that help businesses manage their customers' interactions via e-mail or phone calls. And while it's not quite as popular today as some newer competitors like MailChimp and AWeber, there are many people who have used its services over the years to grow their own small businesses.

If you've never heard of them before, here's a quick refresher about what exactly they do...and how can you integrate their service with HubSpot so you can maximize your customer acquisition efforts.

Is Constant Contact still in business?

As mentioned above, Constant Contact started out back in 1982 when the Internet was just starting to take off. Since then, it has grown into an international company that provides solutions for more than 200 million users worldwide. It's also owned by Salesforce.com (which means we get all sorts of perks from having such a big partner), which explains why it integrates well with software made by the same organization. HubSpot being no different.

The main question most people ask when hearing about Constant Contact is "how long will this be around?" Well, according to Forbes, the founder Joe Kraus recently said he'll remain involved until sales drop below $50M annually. While that may sound extreme, it doesn't mean his prediction won't come true if things continue down the path they're currently going. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they shut shop within 5 years unless they make serious changes soon. The reason being is because Constant Contact isn't doing anything new anymore. They haven't released any major updates since 2012.

That's right, almost 4 full years without making any significant improvements! You'd think at least once per year they would release something revolutionary, but nope. Instead, the only thing they seem to care about lately is pushing ads onto their website visitors and trying to sell them stuff. Not very user friendly nor appealing to me personally. If you look on social media though, plenty of people love using the app. So maybe they're on to something after all. Who knows?

It really sucks when a product loses its luster because the founders aren't committed enough to keep it alive, especially considering how much money they could potentially earn otherwise. That's probably why HubSpot decided to acquire them last summer. Hopefully it wasn't just to steal their intellectual property; hopefully they were smart enough to realize they had nothing left to offer.

Is Constant Contact reliable?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick of dealing with unreliable products and services. Over time, I've learned that paying attention to these details helps me avoid wasting my hard earned money on crap. Unfortunately, it seems like Constant Contact has fallen victim to this too. Here's some examples of their problems:

Poor support - When I first signed up for Constant Contact back in 2015, they didn't even send me an activation code. I called tech support multiple times, but got nowhere fast. Nowadays, it takes several days to receive answers to my questions, let alone resolutions. On top of that, I often find myself calling again later to see if someone answered yet. Overall, poor support quality makes me wonder whether they actually employ real humans instead of bots to answer those phones.

Slow delivery - This is another huge problem with Constant Contact. Every single time I sign up for their newsletter, I expect a weekly update about what they've done over the past week. But every month or two, I end up getting a monthly recap article. Sometimes it's months between newsletters! It feels like they're just mailing out random articles and hoping it catches on among their readers. For example, did you notice how they switched up their logo colors throughout 2016? How about the little animation GIFs next to each section heading? Or how their homepage looks completely different now compared to 2014? What does any of that tell us? Nothing. All they need to do is provide regular updates, and I guarantee thousands of subscribers would follow suit.

No mobile interface - One of the biggest complaints I hear about HubSpot is that it's difficult to navigate. There's always a lot of clutter, lots of buttons everywhere, and tons of options to choose from. Even worse, it can sometimes feel impossible to find where certain features are located on the screen. With Constant Contact, the opposite happens. Everything is tiny, cramped together, and extremely easy to miss. Plus, it's nearly impossible to scroll through a list of contacts due to the layout design. Why bother creating visual menus if everything is laid out poorly?

Who should use Constant Contact?

In order to understand why Constant Contact might go away anytime soon, you must first consider who uses it. After all, the more people they lose, the less likely they'll be able to stay afloat. These types of companies tend to cater to smaller brands and solo entrepreneurs rather than larger corporations. For example, HubSpot targets medium sized businesses and B2B organizations. Hence, if they ever decide to close shop, they're bound to leave behind clients who relied heavily upon them.

But hey, HubSpot isn't perfect either. As mentioned earlier, HubSpot integrates perfectly with software created by the same organization. Therefore, there's absolutely no competition whatsoever. If you happen to fall under that category, you better buckle up! Because for the rest of us, Constant Contact is our best bet.

What is the point of Constant Contact?

So far, we've established that Constant Contact is unreliable, slow, and outdated. However, it's still worth mentioning briefly. To summarize, Constant Contact offers three primary services: 1) lead generation 2) automation 3) database maintenance. Let's break down each one individually...

1.) Lead Generation: If you're looking to generate leads, Constant Contact is definitely your best option. Their free account allows you to create unlimited campaigns, add subscribers, and track performance metrics. Once you start generating traffic, you can leverage their tools to convert prospects into actual customers. Alternatively, you can try selling advertising space on your site.

2.) Automation: By integrating Constant Contact with HubSpot CRM, you can automate repetitive tasks across hundreds of client accounts. You can easily import existing data, set reminders, schedule follow ups, etc. Moreover, it lets admins assign specific roles and permissions to team members for increased security.

3.) Database Maintenance: Whether you already have a large database or you're planning to build one yourself, Constant Contact simplifies importing records from various sources. Additionally, it's compatible with dozens of platforms including Google Workspace, Zoho CRM, SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online, Office 365, Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, and others.

Overall, Constant Contact is great for individuals who want to market themselves independently. If you're part of a bigger entity, however, you should check out HubSpot. We recommend using both to increase your overall efficiency and productivity.

We hope you enjoyed learning more about Constant Contact vs HubSpot, and we wish you luck finding the ideal solution that works for you.

If you're looking for an all-inclusive contact management solution that can also help build your list of subscribers or customers, look no further than HubSpot (previously known as Act-On). With HubSpot's easy to use interface and endless possibilities, it could be just what you need.

HubSpot has built its reputation by providing users with tools to manage their customer relationships. But did you know they have some very powerful integration options already available within the platform? One such option is connecting HubSpot with Constant Contact. If you’re wondering how this works, read more about one example below!

Does Constant Contact integrate with HubSpot?

In order to connect these two solutions, first you will need to create a new account at Constant Contact if you haven't already done so. After creating your account, follow the steps outlined here to set up an integrated campaign between HubSpot and Constant Contact. You'll then see the following screen appear after logging into HubSpot.

After clicking "Connect Now," you should receive a message confirming that Constant Contact was successfully added to HubSpot. This means that you now have access to Constant Contact data through HubSpot. The next step is to choose which type of connection you would like to make. Here are a few choices:

Autoresponder - Allows you to send out prewritten messages right from HubSpot when someone subscribes to your newsletter.

Campaigns - Creates automatic campaigns based on specific criteria. For instance, if you've got a lead form on your website, you can automatically send them information via email using this feature.

Lead Capture Forms - Integrates HubSpot forms directly onto your site, allowing visitors to fill out details without leaving your page.

Now that you understand how to link the systems together, let's take a closer look at whether or not you can actually use Constant Contact as part of your HubSpot workflow.

Can I use Constant Contact as a CRM?

One thing worth mentioning before we move forward is that while HubSpot does offer features to track sales conversations and interactions, Constant Contacts' focus is solely on managing your subscriber base. As such, there isn't much functionality surrounding interaction tracking. That being said, because HubSpot integrates both platforms, you still get access to Constant Contact's ability to gather important demographic information on those who subscribe to your newsletters.

But what about automating your entire process? Can Constant Contact handle that too? While HubSpot doesn't provide any sort of automation capabilities itself, it allows Constant Contact to pull data off of your lists. In addition, constant contact integrates with several third party applications that allow for additional level of flexibility.

Here are a couple examples of ways that you might utilize the combination of Constant Contact and HubSpot:

Automate Your Email Communications - By setting up rules in HubSpot to automatically populate different fields in your mailing database, you can streamline a lot of your current processes. These include things like sending welcome letters to new subscribers, offering special deals only to those on your list, and even scheduling reminders for upcoming events. Since Constant Contact pulls data directly from HubSpot, everything goes smoothly and seamlessly behind the scenes.

Send Automated Emails Based On Leads From Social Media - Another great idea is to set up multiple triggers inside of HubSpot to automate certain actions whenever a particular event occurs. Then you simply add another action called Send Mail Message where you input whatever parameters you'd like to match up with social media posts. Once triggered, HubSpot sends the same email over and over again depending on your selection criteria. This is especially useful during times when you may experience high traffic but don't necessarily have time to respond to each individual inquiry personally.

Create Lists Of Subscribers & Customers To Follow Up On Later - Perhaps the most obvious use case would be to keep tabs on people who opt-in to your newsletter. When they fill out your signup form, HubSpot stores their name and email address. You then go back to HubSpot later and check your database to find out exactly why they signed up. This lets you tailor your subsequent communication efforts according to their interests.

These are just a handful of ideas that show how Constant Contact and HubSpot can come together to boost your business productivity. However, you can always explore other integrations and scenarios yourself once you become familiar with the basic concepts involved.

Can you integrate HubSpot with CRM?

Just because HubSpot offers various levels of customization, that doesn't mean you won't ever feel overwhelmed. Even though HubSpot provides many tools to enhance your workflow, sometimes you may wish to try something else altogether.

For starters, HubSpot doesn't currently support mobile devices. So if you're planning to update your app frequently, it may be best to stay away until HubSpot releases a version specifically designed for smartphones.

Another drawback to consider is that HubSpot requires a monthly subscription fee. Considering that HubSpot offers many customizable templates, it can often seem difficult to decide on the pricing plan that fits your needs the best. And although HubSpot includes quite a bit of standard functionality, it doesn't cover every single aspect.

That being said, if you're interested in exploring alternatives, HubSpot competitor AWeber also provides excellent service and plenty of room for growth. It's free to start and contains similar functionalities to Hubspot. Although it lacks some of the advanced functionality that HubSpot possesses, it makes up for it with ease of use and reliability.

Lastly, there are alternative web services that may serve your purposes better than either HubSpot or Constant Contact. Market Hero, Mailchimp, InfusionSoft, Vertical Response, and GetResponse are good places to begin browsing.

How do I sync contacts with HubSpot?

The last question we'll answer today is how to sync your Constant Contact contacts with HubSpot. Luckily, due to recent updates, syncing is fairly straightforward and painless. Simply log into your Constant Contact account, click on Settings, and select Sync Data. Next, under the Import/Export section, you will see the option to import your contacts. Clicking on that button yields this menu.

From there, you can browse through your existing CSV file or upload a fresh batch. After selecting your preferred method, you must export your contacts in.CSV format.

Once exported, open up your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing Tools " Campaign Management, and click Create New Campaign. Under Account Actions, scroll down to Find Users. Select Upload File and upload your.csv file. Then pick the correct radio box beside Include Existing User List. Finally, hit Continue and wait for the results.

Sync Complete!

Since Constant Contact and HubSpot combine forces, you certainly shouldn't settle for anything less than the best. Whether you're hoping to gain greater control over your future communications, increase efficiency, or save money, integrating these two popular solutions gives you the freedom to customize your workflow however you want.

The latest buzzword is "cloud." It's not just another fad—it gives companies more flexibility to adapt their business models as technology evolves over time. Cloud computing provides businesses with an efficient solution for storing information across multiple locations without compromising security or data privacy. The same concept applies to software applications that help organizations manage all aspects of operations from one centralized location.

Companies like Google offer free cloud storage services accessible via web browser while others such as Microsoft provide users access to sophisticated yet user-friendly tools ranging from Office 365 Personal & Business 2016 to Skype for Business Premium (SfB). What these platforms have in common is they give enterprises the ability to create custom solutions tailored specifically to meet specific needs by integrating various features together. For example, people can use SfB to conduct video conferences but also send text messages through Skype Translator using Cortana integration.

As technology continues to evolve, so do our expectations when it comes to how we should be able to connect different systems efficiently. One popular application that allows us to integrate various technologies is called Constant Contact. If you're new to this company, here are some things you need to know about them before deciding whether Constant Contact works with HubSpot.

Is Constant Contact a CRM system?

Constant Contact is a leading provider of online contact management software used by small businesses globally. They claim to be best known for offering a comprehensive list of automation capabilities that allow customers to automate repetitive tasks associated with lead nurturing campaigns. In addition to being a top contender in the world of sales prospecting, Constant Contact has been considered as a competitor against industry giants including Mail Chimp, InfusionSoft, AWeber, GetResponse and Mad Mimi among many others.

While there may certainly be similarities between the two entities, it would be inaccurate to say that either Constant Contact or HubSpot is a direct competitor of each other. Instead, both products serve distinct functions within their respective industries. HubSpot focuses primarily on creating customized digital experiences for its clients, whereas Constant Contact specializes in automating outbound communications related to customer acquisition activities.

HubSpot was founded in 2004 and since then has grown into a global leader in Inbound Marketing Automation (IMA) providing high quality solutions for growing organizations. As HubSpot grows, so does its product portfolio which includes HubSpot Academy training programs designed to educate marketers on advanced content creation strategies, social media marketing techniques, SEO tactics and PPC advertising methods.

Since IMA revolves around lead generation and conversion rates, it makes sense that Constant Contact offers similar functionality in order to increase engagement levels among potential buyers. However, if you've already invested heavily in HubSpot for your current campaign(s), it might make more sense for you to stick with what you know rather than switching everything up at once.

On the flip side, Constant Contacts' primary focus isn't necessarily centered on generating new prospects. Rather, they strive to retain existing ones by helping companies improve their overall customer experience. According to their website, they believe that repeat business relationships are key to success for any type of enterprise. Therefore, they continually invest in improving the efficiency of their own internal processes so that they can better assist prospective clients in building long term relationships.

If you plan to stay on track with Constant Contact even after transitioning to HubSpot, don't fret! There are plenty of ways you can still utilize Constant Contact's extensive suite of email marketing and follow-up tools. Below are a few ideas that will definitely come in handy.

Does Constant Contact work with Salesforce?

One thing worth noting is that although HubSpot and Constant Contact share a lot of commonalities, they aren't exactly competitors. While there are instances where their functionalities overlap, most often times they operate independently of each other. This means that if you decide to migrate your accounts later down the line, you'll simply need to transfer ownership of those assets to a third party vendor.

Accordingly, there are several reasons why Constant Contact doesn't appear to be integrated directly with HubSpot. First off, Constant Contact's core competency lies in connecting consumers to brands through targeted marketing efforts. On the other hand, HubSpot's main goal is to generate qualified leads for its clientele. Since HubSpot's primary function centers around converting visitors into paying subscribers, they wouldn't typically benefit much from Constant Contact's email marketing tools.

Another reason behind the lack of obvious integration is because HubSpot's initial launch occurred back in 2010. When compared to Constant Contact who debuted in 2005, it only made sense that HubSpot didn't include Constant Contact natively within its ecosystem right away. Nowadays though, Constant Contact recently released a brand new version of their flagship product aimed at streamlining the entire process of sending personalized newsletters to customers. From start to finish, the update promises to reduce turnaround time and simplify workflow procedures.

Lastly, it appears that Constant Contact hasn't fully embraced HubSpot's IM methodology or vice versa. Although HubSpot started off as a separate entity focused solely on lead generation, it now incorporates elements of IMA into its broader mission statement. For instance, many of HubSpot's recent updates revolve around promoting cross channel interactions among members of the target audience. In fact, HubSpot is continuously working toward becoming a single source destination for companies to interact with their customers regardless of their preferred mode of communication.

With that said, Constant Contact remains as one of the largest providers of IMA solutions in the market today. So depending on your preferences, you could choose to integrate HubSpot first and Constant Contact second. You'd probably end up saving yourself money in the long run if you go this route.

Is Constant Contact a platform?

When asked whether Constant Contact is a Platform, my answer depends on whom you ask. To me, it seems like a platform because they are responsible for ensuring that a certain number of events take place every month. Whether it's scheduling appointments, managing logistics, or coordinating meetings, their job entails orchestrating numerous actions that occur simultaneously throughout the day.

However, if you look closely, you'll notice that they also play an important role in helping businesses understand their goals and objectives. Without constant feedback and guidance, employees won't always know which direction the organization should head towards. That's precisely why Constant Contact offers monthly performance reports that outline key metrics for tracking progress in real time.

Now let's consider HubSpot. Does HubSpot qualify as a Platform? Well, yes and no. Let's face it - HubSpot is the modern equivalent of someone telling you to check your smartphone notification bar whenever you get home. Yes, they have the capability to perform complex calculations but sometimes they act as gatekeepers instead of facilitators.

For example, if you had trouble booking a meeting with your boss last week, chances are good that he/she received dozens of notifications from Slack during the ordeal. With HubSpot, however, that particular scenario never came close to happening. Why? Because HubSpot allowed you to schedule a conference call straight from Gmail. Afterward, the tool automatically sent reminders to everyone involved so that nothing got lost in translation.

Although HubSpot can technically facilitate countless actions per minute, it rarely gets credit for doing so. Unless you see a tangible ROI from the results achieved, it's easy to ignore all the little things that happen behind the scenes. Conversely, if you were to compare HubSpot to Facebook Messenger, you can easily tell that the former takes pride in making sure that each interaction goes smoothly. And unlike WhatsApp, HubSpot actually lets you customize your conversations according to the nature of the relationship.

That's not to say that HubSpot lacks complexity altogether. In fact, it's quite challenging to pinpoint the exact moment where HubSpot ceases functioning as a typical CRM system and becomes a true 'platform'. But if you examine it under this lens, you'll discover that HubSpot excels at facilitating cross-channel interactions among teams located remotely.

Is Constant Contact outdated?

It's safe to say that Constant Contact is currently far ahead of HubSpot in terms of innovation. Even though HubSpot launched earlier this year, it still lags behind its competition due to its relatively limited feature set.

From a consumer standpoint, Constant Contact offers a robust selection of customizable templates that allow you to quickly tailor your message to suit specific audiences. Furthermore, Constant Contact has improved upon its previous offerings by updating its design interface to reflect the aesthetic trends seen lately. Lastly, they continue to roll out new product innovations regularly.

So if you've experienced enough growth and wish to expand beyond basic email correspondence, HubSpot may not be the ideal choice for you anymore. If you're looking to grow further, Constant Contact is likely the best option available nowadays. Regardless of your decision, rest assured knowing that both companies have their pros and cons. Ultimately, the final verdict largely rests in your hands.
