How do I claim ad credits on LinkedIn?

How do I claim ad credits on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn's free promotional offer has been around since 2013 but was recently updated in April 2020 with an additional 50% off your first month's subscription fee if you're not already using the service. The deal will give you access to all features including Premium, Recruiter Tools, Groups, Network Updates, InMail, and more.

If you haven't heard about it before now then let me tell you that you should definitely be signing up right away because there isn't much time left! It's currently one of the best ways to connect with people who have similar interests as yours, so don't miss out on this opportunity!

You may wonder whether or not to spend money on advertising on LinkedIn. After all, they aren't cheap compared to other online marketing platforms like Facebook or Instagram. But if done properly, these services can provide massive results -- especially when used together. So what exactly does it take to make them work well enough to warrant spending some cash? Here's everything you need to know about LinkedIn advertising.

Is advertising on LinkedIn worth it?

Advertising on LinkedIn is actually extremely effective at getting clicks and leads from potential customers. A study conducted by HubSpot found that LinkedIn generates more traffic than any other social media platform. According to their research, LinkedIn drives over 7 billion impressions per day, which means that marketers would get their attention seven times each second. And while those figures seem impressive, they still fall far behind Twitter and Facebook (which generate 10x and 6x respectively).

So why is this important? Well, according to Statista, 65 percent of B2B companies rely heavily on LinkedIn for business development. That makes sense considering that most businesses require connections to succeed in today's increasingly competitive marketplace.

But aside from generating lots of traffic and helping businesses grow, LinkedIn offers several benefits for consumers too. For example, it helps build trust between brands and individuals through personal recommendations, professional endorsements, and networking opportunities. Plus, it allows users to easily stay connected with friends, family members, colleagues, clients, and others they care about without having to worry about wasting precious minutes scrolling through dozens of profiles every day.

In fact, a recent survey revealed how valuable LinkedIn can be. According to Gleanster, a data analytics firm that specializes in providing insights into digital marketing trends, 53 percent of respondents said that LinkedIn improved their ability to recruit employees, 45 percent reported higher retention rates, 35 percent reported increased sales, and 28 percent stated that it helped improve customer engagement.

What are the pros and cons of advertising?

While there are plenty of reasons to advertise on LinkedIn, there are just as many reasons not to. Luckily, we've compiled a list of the top five reasons to invest in LinkedIn Advertising here. If you want to learn more about the ins-and-outs of advertising on the network, keep reading below.

1) Easy setup

Setting up an Ad campaign on LinkedIn is easy. All you need to start promoting your brand is to create a profile, join groups relevant to your industry, add content to your website and blog, and set up campaigns on your account. That's pretty much it! When you're ready to promote your company, simply select the type of advertisement you'd like to run, choose where you'd like to place it, and click "Go."

2) Targeted audience

One of the biggest advantages of advertising on LinkedIn is that it gives you access to highly targeted audiences. By targeting specific keywords related to your niche, you'll be able to reach a large number of interested prospects within seconds.

3) Fast turnaround

Once you decide to go ahead with a particular advertising plan, it typically takes less than 24 hours for the process to complete. Once approved, your ad goes live immediately and starts attracting qualified visitors. While it might take longer during peak seasons like holidays or weekends, you shouldn't experience delays once you activate your campaign.

4) Better ROI

The average cost-per-click rate on LinkedIn is lower than on Google Ads or even Facebook. As such, you won't pay nearly as much for your advertisements when you compare the two networks side-by-side. However, if you're looking for a way to save costs, consider running multiple campaigns across different channels. Since you'll likely end up paying more overall, this tactic could help reduce the amount you spend on advertising altogether.

5) Free advertising

Since LinkedIn doesn't charge any fees whatsoever, you can easily afford investing in advertising. Even though it may not always yield good results, you'll never lose anything unless you cancel your plans early.

Boosting LinkedIn posts

Another great reason to sign up for LinkedIn advertising is its ability to boost post performance. Unlike Google Ads, boosting posts is completely hands-off. All you have to do is upload a template containing certain elements, customize it however you see fit, and submit your final product to the system. Then sit back and wait. Your boosted post will appear on your target audience's news feed whenever they visit the site.

There are three main types of boosts available on LinkedIn:

Content Boosts - These boosts include links to articles and videos published on your own site. They allow you to share information directly from your web pages.

Profile Boosts - These boosts feature images, text, or video clips included in user bios.

Group Boosts - These boosts include updates shared by group admins and moderators.

When deciding which type of boost works best for you, think about the kind of content you publish regularly. If you frequently update your blog, try adding a link to it after submitting your ad. Alternatively, if you write long pieces full of statistics and facts, try creating a piece highlighting your latest findings.

If you opt to boost existing content, remember to check that the original author hasn't flagged the article or posted a comment asking you to remove it. Otherwise, you risk losing control of the content entirely.

Is LinkedIn better than Google Ads?

It really depends on who you ask. Some say yes, others say no. To put it another way, it's impossible to predict whether or not LinkedIn will ever become a serious competitor to Google Ads. With that being said, there are certainly things to take note of when choosing between the two platforms.

For starters, both services have similar pricing models. Both allow you to bid on keywords, display banners, and sponsored stories. They also enable you to track conversions and view reports based on individual landing pages. However, unlike Google Ads, you can't monitor the performance of your entire ad campaign. Instead, you must manually inspect the stats of each single ad.

On the plus side, LinkedIn provides a detailed dashboard displaying all metrics concerning your campaign. Not only that, but you can quickly adjust settings such as bidding strategy, budget allocation, and ad scheduling.

Finally, although Google Ads isn't perfect either, it comes equipped with tools designed specifically to increase conversion rates. On the other hand, LinkedIn lacks a dedicated section aimed at improving lead generation.

As you can probably guess, neither option is ideal for everyone. Therefore, it pays to conduct thorough research before signing up for either program. Take the time to understand how each network operates and figure out which features suit your needs best. Also, make sure to test various strategies to determine which ones perform the best.

With that being said, we recommend trying out both options until you find something that suits your brand. Of course, if you prefer working with experts instead of doing all of the legwork yourself, you should contact us. We specialize in optimizing websites and increasing visibility via paid search campaigns.

Are LinkedIn ads better than Google Ads?

This question is almost impossible to answer, mainly due to the fact that both programs serve very distinct purposes. Although they do have similarities, they differ significantly in terms of functionality, design, and interface.

Google Ads tend to focus on maximizing revenue while minimizing expenses. Thus, you'll often notice that they prioritize quality scores above all else. Meanwhile, LinkedIn focuses on delivering high levels of engagement with minimal effort.

Ultimately, the choice between the two boils down to what you value most. If you prioritize fast turnarounds and low prices, then you should stick with Google Ads. However, if you're willing to sacrifice speed for quality, you should look into LinkedIn Ads.

Finally, if you're unsure whether or not to go with one or the other, you should talk to someone who knows the field inside-out. An expert will be able to guide you toward making the best possible decision given your unique situation.

A few tips to bear in mind

Before you begin advertising on LinkedIn, ensure that your company meets the following requirements:

Your organization has a verified email address

Your domain name complies with the Do Business Online standards

You meet the eligibility criteria for applying for a Premium Account

You're aware of the Terms of Service agreement

Of course, if you follow our advice and sign up for a Premium Account, you'll receive a 100% exclusive discount on your first month's subscription fee. Simply enter the promo code "LINKEDIN" during registration.

LinkedIn has long been one of best places to advertise online. With millions upon millions of users and over 100 million connections, there’s no shortage of potential customers who could be interested in your products or services. If you're not sure where to start with LinkedIn advertising, we've got all the info you need right here.

The company offers two types of paid advertising options - standard ads and sponsored posts. Both have their pros and cons, but if you want to learn more about each option before deciding which works best for you, keep reading below!

Can you run LinkedIn ads from a personal account?

There's nothing wrong with using your own email address as part of your LinkedIn profile. However, you'll likely end up paying extra for any additional features that come along with having an official business account. For example, if you want to create multiple pages around your brand (like social media profiles), you'll need to upgrade to a Premium subscription ($10/month).

If you don't plan on making regular purchases through your website, then you might prefer using a personal account instead. That way, you won't incur any fees when someone clicks through to buy something after seeing your advertisement.

However, if you'd like to make money off your LinkedIn marketing strategy without spending too much time managing your accounts, then creating an official business account may be worth considering. At least until you reach some sort of critical mass with your followers.

In 2019 alone, LinkedIn saw a record-breaking 1 billion active members worldwide. And while many people probably use the platform just to connect with friends and family, they still have plenty of opportunities to market themselves professionally.

How much should you budget for LinkedIn ads?

When you're first starting out, you shouldn't worry so much about what type of budget you set aside for your advertisements. It's important to remember that these aren't necessarily dollars spent directly toward promoting yourself. Instead, these are dollars spent within LinkedIn itself. So even though you may pay per click, you're actually getting value back from every single person who sees your content.

As you begin to see results, you can always adjust your budget accordingly. But at the beginning, you should try to stick to whatever amount feels comfortable. As long as you stay consistent throughout the year, you'll soon discover whether it was the right decision for your particular campaign.

How much should I spend on my ads?

It depends entirely on your goals. Are you trying to build buzz around your product launch? Or maybe you hope to generate leads for future projects? Either way, it's good to know exactly what kind of return you expect on your investment.

For instance, let's say you decide to advertise on LinkedIn for 30 days. During those 30 days, you will receive 10 impressions -- meaning 10 times your ad appeared on other user's newsfeeds during that period. Now imagine that each of those people clicked on your link, and ended up buying something from your site. In total, you would have generated 60 sales.

Now consider another scenario. Let's say you decided to spend $1,000 on advertising on LinkedIn for 30 days. Over that same timeframe, you received 20 impressions. Of course, because you were able to target specific audiences based on certain keywords, you could potentially increase your ROI considerably. Even if you only managed to convert 2% of your viewers into customers, you'd wind up generating 40 sales.

So although it sounds counterintuitive, smaller budgets often result in better returns than larger ones. Just remember that you should aim for consistency rather than setting unrealistic expectations early on.

What are the cons of advertising?

While there isn't anything inherently bad about advertising on LinkedIn, there certainly are downsides. One major drawback is that most of your audience is going to be made up of existing customers. Which means that your message is unlikely to resonate as well as it could otherwise.

Another issue is that you're relying solely on Google AdWords to drive traffic to your landing pages. While Google does offer great targeting tools, it doesn't guarantee quality visitors. A lot of them could simply be bots looking to scrape data from your site.

Finally, it's possible that the majority of your views could come from outside the U.S., since the vast majority of LinkedIn users reside in North America. Not everyone lives near a large city, and it's difficult to estimate how many individuals live elsewhere.

But despite these drawbacks, advertising on LinkedIn remains one of the most effective ways to promote your business online. There's almost zero competition for the demographic you choose to focus on, and it provides you with access to a huge number of potential customers. Plus, you never really lose control over your campaign either.

With all that said, a lot of marketers underestimate how valuable LinkedIn advertising truly is. They think that they must be doing something wrong if they haven't seen results yet. But the truth is, you don't need to wait months or years to experience success. By following a few simple steps, you can easily boost your conversion rate and earn more money from your campaigns today.

Claiming Ad Credits

Before you buy any kind of advertisement on LinkedIn, you'll have to first give them some money. The good news is that they offer two different types of credit - per day (1¢) and per month ($0.10). There's also a special "ad exchange" type called "Ad Credits". Here are the details.

Per Day Credit: 1¢ per day

Monthly Credit: 10¢ per month

"Exchange-based" Credits: A flat rate of 25 cents per credit

You cannot use these credits on other sites like Google Ads or Facebook Ads.

Once you click on either of the above buttons, you will see an option to claim your ad credits. When you select Claim Ad Credits, you may be asked to enter your billing information so that you can receive payments from LinkedIn. Please note that if you don't already have a PayPal account, you can sign up for a FREE PayPal account at http://www.paypal.com/signup/.

Here's what you should know about claiming your ad credits:

If you haven't claimed your ad credits yet, then the button just says "Add Your Credits." It means that you still have unused credits that you can add later.

When you press "claim now", you'll immediately be redirected to another screen where you must provide your email address as well as your payment method. In most cases, you won't even have to verify your identity. Just make sure that your email address matches the one you used when signing up for Paypal.

After making a purchase through Paypal, you will automatically be redirected back to this same screen again. Now, simply log into your Paypal

LinkedIn has made the process of setting up and managing your own personal or business profile easier than ever before. If you're not sure what all that means then check out our beginner's guide to LinkedIn.

If you are looking to advertise online, there are lots of platforms available today -- from Facebook to Twitter to Google Ads. But if you have a professional network like LinkedIn, why would you choose to advertise elsewhere when you could be reaching more people with targeted advertisements on one of the most popular social networks in existence?

But while you might think that LinkedIn ads are expensive, they actually aren't too bad at all. They range anywhere between $20 - $500 per click depending on which type of campaign you want to run. However, we've found some great ways to cut down on costs so you don't spend as much money as you used to.

First off, let's talk about how to set up an ad on LinkedIn. We'll show you step-by-step exactly how to sign up for a free account, complete the necessary steps to enable your first ad and start earning ad credits!

How do I set up an ad on LinkedIn?

The first thing you need to know about setting up your first ad on LinkedIn is that you will need to pay a small fee to do so. It ranges from $10-$20 dollars, but in order to save yourself time and effort you should go ahead and purchase the cheapest option possible (we recommend paying around $12). The reason being is because once you reach 50K followers, the amount you will get paid per impression will increase dramatically. So, just keep that in mind.

Once you have purchased your ad credits, you will see the following screen where you can enter a name for your ad and select whether you'd like to receive traffic via organic search results, sponsored content placements, or both options. After choosing your plan, you can add keywords and descriptions to help potential customers find your ads.

When you're done filling out these details, hit Next Step to move onto creating your ad.

On the next screen you'll need to decide on your budget. Choose either $25, $50, $75, $150, or $300, and then fill in any additional information including your audience, location, gender, age, interests, education level, and occupation. Once you're ready, hit Continue and wait until your ad goes live.

While you won't immediately see the results of your efforts, after a few weeks you should begin seeing impressions appear on your website. In fact, if you were able to get 100 clicks from your ad in the first week alone, you may see a spike in sales.

It takes approximately two months to build trust among your audience and generate leads. At the end of those two months, you should expect to see your ROI improve drastically. Keep in mind that you can always adjust your bids based on the performance of your campaigns over time.

After two months of waiting, you should finally see your ad appear in the Search Results section of your Profile Page.

Now that the setup phase is over, we now turn towards how much it costs to run an ad on LinkedIn. There are five different types of ads, each costing slightly differently. Here is a breakdown of the pricing structure:

1) Basic: $5/day x 5 days = 25 cents/click

2) Standard: $7/day x 7 days = 35 cents/click

3) Premium: $9/day x 9 days = 45 cents/click

4) Supercharged: $15/day x 15 days = 75 cents/click

5) Gold: $25/day x 30 days = 125 cents/click

So if you wanted to buy 1 million impressions, you would spend roughly $250. Of course, since you already bought the ad, you're going to earn back that money within the first month.

Keep in mind though that you might not make that same amount every day. That depends on many factors such as the quality of your ad, how well you target your market, how long you allow your ad to stay visible, etc.

We hope this article provided some helpful tips to help you better understand how to advertise on LinkedIn. And remember, if you still haven't claimed your ad yet, go ahead and take advantage of our exclusive $100 ad credit promo!

Can you Advertise on LinkedIn for free?

You might wonder "is it really worth spending money on ads?" Well, yes, even though it doesn't seem like it. As mentioned above, it takes several months to establish a brand presence online. With that said, after establishing a solid connection with users through your profile, you should eventually start receiving inquiries from them. These inquires can lead to actual sales.

Another way to look at it is that spending a little bit of cash on LinkedIn can potentially result in thousands of dollars in revenue. When you consider that, it makes sense that you would want to invest in it. Not only will it bring you extra income, but it will give you valuable insight into how to best optimize your marketing strategy.

As far as the free ad credits go, they are limited. A person who signed up for their free trial was granted 60 free ad credits. If you fall under the student category, you will receive another 10 free ad credits. Otherwise, here's everything you need to know about claiming your ad credits.

Go to Settings > Account Management. Click Manage Your Advertising Credits. Enter your email address and password and hit Submit.

This link will expire 90 days after you submit it. Go to My Ads & Promotions. Select Claimed and follow the instructions.

A confirmation message will pop up asking you to confirm your email address. Hit Confirm Email Address.

Your ad credit balance will reflect as 0.00. Wait 24 hours and repeat the procedure.

To ensure that you continue getting ad credits without having to reset your password, simply log into your account using your email address and password.

Is it worth running ads on LinkedIn?

Well, like anything else in life, it comes down to your goals. Are you trying to grow your business, generate more leads, attract clients, or expand your knowledge base? Then yes, absolutely.

And although it isn't difficult to learn, sometimes it can feel overwhelming especially when you're starting out. Luckily, there are plenty of resources you can leverage to help you achieve success faster. For example, you can utilize video tutorials to gain a deeper understanding of the platform. Or maybe you prefer reading articles instead. No matter what works for you, just remember to focus on one goal at a time. Don't try to tackle everything at once. Instead, break things down into smaller chunks so you can accomplish your tasks efficiently.

In addition, try to surround yourself with other entrepreneurs in similar industries. You never know when someone will offer you advice, so seek out opportunities to connect with others. Finally, try to remain patient. Just because something worked yesterday doesn't mean it will work tomorrow. Remember that patience pays off big dividends.
