How do I get to my LinkedIn home page?
You can now log into your LinkedIn account from any device using a browser or by downloading the LinkedIn Android or iOS apps. The main difference between logging onto LinkedIn via desktop versus mobile is that when logged-into through a phone or tablet, the menu bar will be hidden behind your finger as it moves around. You'll still see buttons like "Home," but they're just floating there until you tap them.

How do I complete 7 steps on LinkedIn?
1) Log Into Your Account
To start the process, open up a web browser and go to www.linkedin.com/login/. Clicking on the Login button brings you directly to the login window. Enter your email address and password, click Sign In, and you should see the screen shown below. When prompted to sign in again, enter your name and hit Next Step.
2) Create A Profile
After signing in, you'll arrive at the Welcome Page, which provides instructions for setting up a profile. There's plenty of information here, so take notes. Once you've completed the setup wizard, you'll end up at the Home Page. From there, you can start adding more content to your profile. We'll discuss what exactly makes up a profile in a bit, but for now, keep reading!
3) Add More Content To Your Profile
On the left side of the screen under My Personal Info, you'll see icons for various other types of information. Each section has its own set of options for editing and updating content. For example, you can add a picture, change your location, upload documents, etc. These links appear only once you reach that level of your LinkedIn profile.
4) Connect With Other People
Once you finish filling out your personal info, you'll want to connect with others who share similar interests and goals. This area is called the Linked In Network, and it's divided into three categories: Friends & Family, Company Pages, and Education. It's easy enough to browse either category without much effort, but connecting with people outside of those two groups requires a bit more work.
5) Get Started Adding Contacts
The next step shows you how to navigate to different contact lists based upon whether you choose to view friends or contacts. Both are equally important, and both require additional connections before you can fully utilize their services. However, the friend list tends to come with a few extra perks, including seeing updates from mutual connections, receiving invitations, and being able to send emails and instant messages to everyone within that group.
6) Start Building Relationships
Now that you understand how to build relationships with people inside and outside of your network, it's time to make sure you're doing it right. On the top right corner of your screen, you'll notice another dropdown box labeled Messages. Selecting this option lets you send quick responses to potential connections, receive notifications from mutual connections, and even post status updates to Facebook and Twitter.
7) Set Up Alerts And Notifications
At the bottom of your screen, you'll also see several boxes labeled Settings. One of these allows you to customize alerts and push notifications for every single person you interact with. The rest of the settings allow you to fine tune how often you receive communications from particular people and companies, which social networks you use, and more.

Let's say you decide to read through the articles above and update your profile accordingly. Before moving forward, however, you must remember to save your progress. Otherwise, you risk losing everything you worked hard to achieve. So, click Save Changes and wait while your profile gets updated.
Each item listed here contains a hyperlink, allowing you to jump straight to the relevant article. You can also select View Full Screen to expand the text beyond its initial size.
How do I get an all star profile strength on LinkedIn?
When you first signed up for LinkedIn, you were given a score based on your overall profile. That number was determined by evaluating things like your headline, summary, skills, job title, education, and recommendations. After you complete your profile and submit your application to jobs, you'll need to reevaluate yourself. If you think you deserve a higher score than you originally received, head to the Edit Profile section of the site. Then click the Upgrade Your Score button.
Next, click the Review Your Summary button and review your story. Make sure to highlight the best pieces of information and remove anything unnecessary. Also, consider making edits to your Skills Section. If you don't already have a skill, try listing it in your summary or write something interesting about a topic you're passionate about.
Finally, click the Update Now button and wait patiently for your profile to be evaluated again. Repeat this process as many times as necessary until you finally land on the highest possible ranking.

What are the different parts of LinkedIn?
There are three main areas that you can use when visiting LinkedIn: Your Profile, Company Page, and Groups. Each one of these is unique in terms of their content, but they also have something else in common: They all revolve around connecting with people who could potentially help you reach your goals.
Let's take a quick glance at each area individually.
Your Profile is essentially everything about yourself. It includes things like your name, photo, education history, location, skills, endorsements, recommendations, etc. You may already be very familiar with this section because it looks pretty much exactly the same as Facebook.

What should I put for each section on LinkedIn?
Now that you know a little bit about LinkedIn profiles, let's talk about what to include on them. There are two ways you can approach this topic: One way would be by taking the most relevant information from your LinkedIN profile and adding it into your cover letter/resume. This will allow potential employers to learn more about you without having to dig through your entire profile.
Another recommended option is to write down what you'd love someone to know about you based off your experience, skill set, interests, personality traits, etc. Then, add those bullet points onto your LinkedIn profile under each respective section. For example, you might say "I am passionate about helping others achieve success," under Education. Or, you might state "I'm always up for a challenge!" underneath Skills.
This second method allows companies to connect with you better and provides you with additional opportunities to network. It also helps you stand out among other candidates. So, even though both methods seem simple enough, try to think outside the box when creating your LinkedIn profile.
What are the steps to create a LinkedIn?
Creating a LinkedIn account takes less time than you probably thought. All you really need is basic info such as your first name, last name, email address, phone number, password, birthday, gender, country, zip code, company name, etc., then you just hit submit. Pretty easy right?!
Once you've created your LinkedIn account, you'll receive an invite via text message with a special URL to log-into LinkedIn. After logging into LinkedIn, you'll notice that there are several tabs along the top of the screen. Here, click the dropdown arrow next to My Connections, then choose Add Connection.
Next, type in your friend's username and select his or her picture from your contacts list. Once done, click Save & Continue. Now, you'll see a popover asking you to verify that you actually want to connect with him or her. Click Verify and continue. From now on, whenever you visit the person's profile, you'll see a notification saying "You're connected".
That was fairly straightforward, but did you notice the green lock symbol next to your connection's name? That signifies that he or she wants to stay updated with your life events and activities. If you don't mind being kept up-to date with your connections' lives, click Accept. Otherwise, leave it alone.
Next, head back to your own profile and scroll down below your summary until you see the Edit button. Underneath your Summary, you'll see a section called Personal Branding which contains links to important pages within LinkedIn. To edit any of these links, simply hover your cursor over the appropriate link, press Enter, then click Done Editing.
Finally, once you've edited every single section of your profile, click the blue Update Me button located directly above your bio. You'll then be able to download a PDF version of your LinkedIn profile for free.
What do you need for a LinkedIn profile?
As stated earlier, the only thing you absolutely must provide for LinkedIn is your full name. However, beyond that, there are many options available. Below is a brief description of some helpful suggestions:
Education: Include your major(s) and graduation year. Also, make sure to attach documents related to your degree or certificate.
Skills: List any technical certifications or degrees you hold.
Endorsements: Choose whether you'd prefer to endorse people or organizations.
Recommendations: When writing recommendations, keep in mind that you shouldn't ask anyone to recommend you unless you truly believe in them. Instead, choose individuals whom you respect and trust.
Interests: Feel free to express your hobbies, passions, and talents. Just remember to focus primarily on your career interests rather than non-professional ones.
Location: State your city, state, province, region, county, and postal code. Additionally, specify your exact street address.
Company Name: Make sure to give the correct name of your employer.
Profile Picture: Upload a professional image of yourself.
Headshots: Select a recent photo of you taken professionally.
Social Media Profiles: Provide links to your social media accounts.
Bio: Use this space to describe your background and accomplishments. Try to avoid making claims too specific since you won't be able to prove anything after submitting your application.
Summary: Write a short paragraph describing why you want to join the organization and why you feel qualified to perform certain tasks.
Cover Letter: A great place to insert samples of your previous work experience.

For many years now, LinkedIn has been one of the most popular social networks out there. It's a great way to connect with people who share your interests or have similar jobs to yours. You'll also be able to learn from others' experience through their posts, which are called "Learning."
But even though it's easy enough to use, some users may not know exactly how they're supposed to navigate around its various parts. This article will explain everything about using your LinkedIn homepage so that you can take advantage of all the features available to you.
What is LinkedIn via homepage?
LinkedIn's homepage (formerly known as Profile) is accessible by clicking your name at the top-right corner of any browser window. If you don't see your name yet, click Find Me on the left side menu bar.
You might notice that the first thing LinkedIn displays when you open up your homepage is an image of yourself along with a few other details about your online presence. The rest of the screen shows things like your connections, recent activities, education, skills, recommendations, groups, and more.
If you want to check out the latest updates to your LinkedIn profile, simply hover over your picture until you see a little down arrow appear next to it. Clicking this will display your status update, including pictures if applicable.
From here you can choose different views of your information - either your full profile view or your summary view (which includes only relevant info). To switch between these two options, just click on the appropriate button in the upper right hand corner. For example, to go back to your Summary View after viewing your Full Profile, click Back to Summary below your photo.
To add something else to your profile, such as a job title, location, email address, etc., simply type whatever you'd like into the box provided. When finished, press Enter or Return to submit your entry.
What does found you via my network mean?
This feature allows you to see which members of your professional network have already discovered you. By default, it will show everyone within your network but you can change the settings to include those outside your network as well, allowing you to easily expand your reach beyond your current circle of friends.
You can also sort them based on whether or not they've viewed your profile, followed you, accepted your invitation, or liked any of your content. You can then filter the results further by selecting specific types of activity. Here are some examples of what you'll see under each category:
Viewed Your Profile: Shows anyone who has visited your public profile page.
Followed You: Anyone who follows you, no matter how long ago, will show up in this list.
Accepted Your Invitation: Any invitations sent privately to you will automatically show up in this group.
Liked Content: Anything you've posted publicly will show up in this section.
Other Members Who Followed You: This option is useful if you're looking to increase visibility by following influential people in your industry.
Connections: These are your direct contacts, regardless of their relationship level (i.e., friend, colleague, etc.).
Groups: Groups are collections of similar individuals interested in certain topics. They often come with discussion forums attached, making them a good place to meet others with common goals.
People You May Know: People you've connected with on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, Flickr, Tumblr, Pinterest, YouTube, Vimeo, Vine, and/or FourSquare.
Search Appearances: A list of recent searches performed by members of your network.
Weekly Search Appearances: Listings of recently searched terms for every member in your network.
Who Can See My Network?: Selectively sharing your connection lists with others.
Who Else Is Visiting Now?: Allows you to keep tabs on who else is visiting your profile while you're away.
Where am I in LinkedIn? This button offers quick links to your Home Page, Company Website, Connections Tab, Skills & Expertise Tab, and Messages tab.
How do I access my LinkedIn account?
After logging in to LinkedIn, you should see your logo in the center of the Homepage, above your username. There are several ways to log in:
Using your email address: Go to www.linkedin.com and enter your email address. From there, select Sign In and follow the prompts. Alternatively, you could sign in directly through your inbox by going to Mailbox.
Through your phone: After downloading the LinkedIn Mobile App, tap Login and sign in using your email address or password. Tap Done once logged in.
With a third party site: Visit Linkedin.com in another web browser, then log in through the same method listed above.
If you decide to sign in using a third-party service, make sure you're aware of the security risks associated with doing so before proceeding.
Why can't I access my LinkedIn account?
There are three main reasons why you may not be able to access your LinkedIn account:
Your account may be disabled due to suspicious activity.
Your account may be locked because someone used your credentials without permission.
You may not belong to a LinkedIn Group.
In order to verify whether you're eligible to log in again, please visit our Help Center article titled How Do I Get Access to My Account Information. Once you've done that, we recommend trying signing in again to ensure it was indeed a glitch to begin with.
Once you've verified eligibility, you may still receive an error message indicating that you aren't authorized to access your account or that there were problems accessing your account. Please try again later. Contact us if you continue experiencing issues.
What is a learning profile on LinkedIn?
A learning profile is essentially an extension of your personal profile that allows you to post content related to specific topics. These could include courses, certifications, articles, videos, webinars, etc.
You can use it in two ways: either as a standalone resource for yourself (like a blog), or as part of your professional one (for example, if you're looking for opportunities).
If you want to start posting content, here's how to create one.
Go to your Profile tab at the top right corner of the screen.
Click Create New Resource under Your Content section.
Enter what kind of content you'd like to upload in the field provided below.
Once done, click Save Changes. At this point, your newly created learning profile will appear in the main menu.
To edit your existing profile, go back to its page by clicking Edit My Profile on the left-hand side navigation bar.
Now let's talk about how you actually publish something on your learning profile. To begin, make sure all your available fields are checked before hitting Post.
Here's what each option does:
Checked = This setting enables you to add whatever content you've selected above to your profile.
Unchecked = This means the contents won't show up when someone clicks on your name in search results.
Blank = This allows you to enter text without any formatting options.
