Based on our experience, you shouldn't expect to rely heavily upon HubSpot's free services until you reach the point where you're ready to switch over to the paid side of the fence. After all, it took us approximately three months to hit that milestone, and we were previously using a competitor called InfusionSoft.

However, once we did convert, we realized that HubSpot was capable of handling all kinds of projects ranging from personal web development to managing massive eCommerce stores. Its interface is clean and straightforward, and it provides tons of resources to aid in growth. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive to host.

Annual payments also let you spread costs over 12 months rather than having them pile up at once. Plus, they make billing easier if you decide to change providers later.

On top of that, if you sign up via annual plans, you get access to discounted rates — which makes sense considering most companies offer yearly subscriptions to their products. For instance, while HubSpot starts at $49/month, the same package would set you back $399/year if purchased through this method.

You may wonder whether signing up for HubSpot's premium version will affect your overall budget. While it doesn't increase your total bill, you still end up spending less money since you no longer have to buy anything extra like ebooks or other add-ons.

In terms of cost breakdowns, HubSpot charges different amounts depending on whether you opt for the standard edition, pro account, enterprise level or support level. Here's what you can expect from each type.

As you can see above, there isn't too much separating one tier from another. You just need to figure out which features suit your needs best.

Let's say you've decided to adopt HubSpot after reading my previous section. Now, you're curious about two things: how much it costs to expand beyond 5 employees and how many additional people you can include in your team without breaking the bank.

First off, here's a quick recap of HubSpot's limits regarding employee numbers. Once again, the differences between versions are negligible.

Users: Unlimited

Contacts: 10k / mo.

Additional Contacts: 2k / mo.

Total Contacts: 15k / mo.

With respect to teams, HubSpot lets you assign separate roles within your organization to everyone involved. That said, you shouldn't count heads indefinitely unless you really need to. After reaching 15 individuals, HubSpot caps new additions to avoid abuse.

To break down the math further, let's assume you want to incorporate eight people onto your team. With the Enterprise tier, this won't exceed 15,000 contacts per month.

Now, let's discuss what happens if you want to reach 20 staff members next quarter. Since the cap applies even if you enlist fewer people during a given period, you'll receive an automatic warning after completing 19,999 tasks.

Once you hit that mark, you'll have to wait until March 2021 before adding anyone else. And yes, the process repeats itself throughout the rest of 2020 as well.

However, if you're okay with sticking to 18 people until April, you won't incur any penalties. Similarly, if you want to stay below 25 people, you'll likely save yourself hundreds of dollars in the long run.

Keep in mind that HubSpot gives you full control over quotas whenever you wish. Therefore, feel free to adjust them according to your preferences and goals. Just remember to stick to the rules outlined above otherwise, you risk getting penalized.

Finally, HubSpot keeps track of the amount of data used by each member of your team. From now on, you can easily visualize consumption trends across different departments.

While HubSpot offers plenty of useful benefits, it's impossible to overlook the fact that you can't host unlimited clients on its platform. Fortunately, the company created several tiers aimed at helping small businesses overcome such limitations.

Below are brief descriptions of each of HubSpot's primary plans. Keep in mind that the names "standard" and "pro" refer to the aforementioned tiers' capabilities.

1.) Free Plan

Free accounts allow you to connect three users with limited functionality. Users can perform basic actions like creating leads, setting appointments, uploading documents and sharing files.

Integration plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation. Unfortunately, most people aren't aware of how complex this step actually is. So, let's explore how HubSpot helps speed up this procedure.

When building a workflow, HubSpot automatically creates separate folders. Each folder contains files from both sides of the equation i.e., content created by internal employees and external sources. Then, each file gets assigned a particular status. Files that haven't been modified for over 24 hours get moved to archive mode. Any updates subsequently added tend to bypass the queue.

Also, once HubSpot detects modifications to previously approved flows, it immediately pushes all pending changes to production. From here onward, developers take care of updating relevant codebase, adding missing fields and fixing bugs.
