The first thing we should cover is what HubSpot actually does. The founders behind the company also were involved in founding Constant Contact back in 1998, which was later acquired by Yahoo in 2007 before being sold again to Google in 2011. If you already use Gmail, these features could really save you money on hosting fees. However, keep in mind that while HubSpot works well with Gmail, it doesn't support Microsoft Outlook 2003 or older versions.

Once you've decided which of your accounts you'd like to work with, simply select "Lists". A lot of times people tend to focus too heavily on their mailing lists without giving enough thought to how best to manage and organize those lists. With HubSpot, you can choose between three types of lists: Standard List, Targeted List, and Community List. These lists allow you to send emails based off specific criteria, whether it's targeted towards certain industries or even demographic groups. For example, you could create a community list comprised entirely of pet owners or medical professionals. Then, whenever someone subscribes to that particular group, you can easily send them relevant content via email. Of course, you won't always want to do this automatically. Just pick out anything that appeals to you, then adjust colors, fonts and sizes.

Each of these tiers offer unique benefits depending on what type of business owner you are. For instance, the Pro tier includes advanced analytics, API access, mobile app development, and site migration among other great perks.

Is HubSpot a competitor to MailChimp?

The answer depends on who you ask. For years now, MailChimp has dominated the industry. But there are plenty of companies offering similar features, such as Aweber, Constant Contact, InfusionSoft, Vertical Response, Sendinblue, etc. However, HubSpot does have a couple unique things going for it compared to other competitors. First off, it integrates nicely with all major online marketplaces, allowing marketers to collect leads directly onto their sites without needing to log into multiple websites to check each site separately. Secondly, HubSpot offers a variety of additional products beyond just being an email provider, including lead generation systems, custom landing pages, ad creation suites, and automated workflows. Can HubSpot send emails?

Yes, HubSpot definitely can send emails. One of the main reasons why people opt for HubSpot is because it lets them easily integrate third party apps within its ecosystem and automate repetitive tasks. Email is no exception to this rule. Once signed in, go to Settings > Integrations and click Add Integration. From there, select App Marketplace and search for whatever tool you wish to connect. Then, follow the instructions provided by the developer to complete setup. Keep in mind that all the integrations available vary based on your plan, so if you aren't sure what kind of integration you would need, contact your HubSpot representative.

Once integrated, you should receive an email letting you know that your connection went through successfully. Clicking on the Link button inside the message will open up the application page on your desktop screen along with a QR code. Scanning the code once it opens will trigger the integration to run. Depending on the type of integration selected, you will receive notifications whenever changes occur.

To test out the integration process, sign in to HubSpot Marketing Center (HMC) and navigate to Tools > Automations > New Automation. Search for the desired integration from the dropdown menu under Choose Service Type. Select Create Trigger and fill in the required fields. Finally, hit Save after making your selections. Now every time you send an email, it will automatically generate a newsletter template based on your preferences.

For example, say you wanted to set up a simple autoresponder series that sends out monthly holiday greetings to everyone on your subscriber list. To do this, head back to HMC and select Templates under Services. Scroll down until you reach Monthly Greeting Emails and pick Holiday Greetings. Copy the HTML snippet found underneath Insert Template Content. Go back to your email program, paste the HTML into the body of the email, and save the file. When composing future messages, simply drag and drop the greeting image from the editor window and insert it wherever you'd like in the text box. Hit Publish Message and voila! Your next email will be sent exactly as planned.

How do I migrate from Mailchimp to HubSpot?

One thing to note about moving your list over to HubSpot is that HubSpot charges a small fee for transferring your contacts. Luckily, HubSpot provides a handy migration tool called Migrator Pro that walks you step-by-step through the entire transfer process. Head straight to https://migrationtool.hubspot.net/start, enter your information, and follow the prompts to finish setting everything up. Afterward, your list will be migrated over and ready for action.

Here's a quick breakdown of what happens during the transition:

First, Migrator Pro scans your current list and creates a copy of it on HubSpot.

Next, you'll be asked to review the newly created list and confirm if you wish to proceed.

After doing so, Migrator Pro will prompt you to import your old list from MailChimp.

Finally, your updated list will appear on HubSpot.

Now, you can start sending out newsletters to your subscribers again. Just remember that if you haven't upgraded to Enterprise level yet, you won't be charged this fee since HubSpot already knows your subscription details. If you ever change your mind about switching to HubSpot, you can always cancel the migration right away. Simply visit MigrationToolPro.com and delete your account. Otherwise, your migration will stay active indefinitely unless you manually stop it yourself.

Unfortunately, linking your MailChimp and HubSpot accounts isn't possible anymore due to privacy regulations. However, you can still access all your MailChimp settings and personalization profiles on your HubSpot dashboard. They remain untouched and unchanged. All you have to do is login to both your MailChimp and HubSpot accounts simultaneously and you'll be redirected to your preferred inbox accordingly.

Alternatively, you can also create a campaign in HubSpot that links to your MailChimp list. While this method may seem simpler, it requires manual intervention. Plus, you cannot create personalized campaigns for specific segments of your list unless you upgrade to Business Class. Instead, you must rely solely on pre-built templates.

So overall, HubSpot is pretty great for those who are interested in transitioning to email marketing, especially if you're concerned with security and privacy. Still, it's important to weigh all pros and cons before deciding to switch. Don't forget to explore HubSpot's full suite of marketing products too.
