Does LinkedIn premium have student discount?

Does LinkedIn premium have student discount?

LinkedIn has been around since 2003 but has recently become one of the most popular social media platforms out there. The service was originally designed as a way to help professionals connect with each other online and now also offers tools that can be used by anyone, including those who don't work in an industry where they know people on LinkedIn.

For example, you could use LinkedIn to find new job opportunities or even meet someone interesting through its dating feature (which isn't available for everyone). However, if your goal is just to make friends, there's no need to pay up for membership, as all you really need is a profile and maybe some basic info about yourself (a picture, name, etc.).

If you're looking to sign up for LinkedIn without paying anything at all, here are three ways you can do that right now:

Which LinkedIn premium is cheapest?

You may want to think twice before signing up for any premium account on LinkedIn because they can get expensive fast. But if you're willing to put aside some money, it doesn't hurt to take advantage of their various discounts.

In this article we'll go over how you might save money when using LinkedIn Premium.

First off, let me tell you why you should consider paying for LinkedIn instead of trying to use it for free. There are several reasons, which include:

- You'll gain access to more advanced features such as recommendations, suggested connections, professional endorsements, and custom insights.

- Your content will be promoted better in search engine results, meaning that your posts and updates will appear higher than others' posts.

- If you receive invites from people you aren't connected to on LinkedIn, then these invitations will display a "Premium" badge next to them. This means that only members that pay for a premium plan will see the invitations.

- When sending messages to people outside of your network, you won't run into spam filters that block your message automatically.

So once you've decided you'd like to join LinkedIn Premium, you can start searching for the best deal possible. For instance, LinkedIn says that anyone who pays $49 per month gets six months of free membership, while anyone who pays $99 per month gets 12 months of free membership.

However, both options come with restrictions. The first option requires you to cancel after 90 days if you decide to stop making monthly payments. And the second option limits you to five total users. So whichever option you choose, LinkedIn recommends making sure you cancel within the allotted time frame.

Once you've signed up for a subscription, you'll have to fill out a form requesting information regarding payment methods, billing addresses, email address, credit card number, expiration date, CVV code, and phone numbers. After submitting this information, you'll receive an activation link via email. Clicking on the link activates your account. Then, you'll be able to log in and begin enjoying your benefits!

Does LinkedIn have a free version?

Yes, LinkedIn actually has a completely free tier called LinkedUp. Although LinkedUp doesn't offer many features compared to LinkedIn Premium, it still provides plenty of useful information for anyone interested in networking.

To learn more about Linked Up, check out our guide below:

But what about the other services listed above? Is there a freebie somewhere else on LinkedIn?  Well, yes and no. While you cannot download the app itself for free, you can create an entirely free profile. In fact, LinkedIn allows you to upload a photo and give two pieces of biographical information. That said, you can’t post any content whatsoever unless you upgrade to the paid plans mentioned above.

There is another way to get started without spending any money. All you need to do is visit the website and click “Create Free Account." A pop-up window will open prompting you to enter your personal details. Once complete, you will have created a free account on LinkedIn. To set up your account, simply follow the prompts provided.

LinkedIn has been around for more than 15 years now and its popularity among professionals has only increased over time.  The platform continues to grow as a source of information about potential jobs, new connections, career advice, etc.

With that being said, if you’re an ambitious professional who wants to stay ahead in your field, then you should consider getting LinkedIn Premium. This subscription offers access to a number of valuable tools including advanced search capabilities, notifications, custom sharing options, analytics data, and much more.

However, if you want to try out this app before making any long-term commitment, there are plenty of ways to get started without paying anything upfront. Here's how you can get a taste of everything LinkedIn has to offer, even if you're on a budget.

How do I get LinkedIn premium for 6 months?

You don't need to pay to use LinkedIn -- just sign up for one or two free accounts and start using them! There's no limit on how many LinkedIn profiles you can create or how many people you can connect with.

If you wish to upgrade to paid membership at some point down the line, however, you'll be able to cancel any subscriptions you've set up from the My Subscriptions page (click Settings " Account) within your account settings. You will also be able to update your email address when needed by going back into your profile and clicking Edit Profile & Settings.

To avoid having to worry about canceling multiple subscriptions at once, make sure you choose which service you'd prefer to keep active before signing up for either. For example, if you want to keep both Facebook and Twitter but only use LinkedIn occasionally, click Manage my subscriptions instead of creating individual plans.

Once you decide which plan works best for you, select Activate Plan and proceed through the rest of the process. If you ever want to change your payment method or cancel your subscription altogether, head straight to your My Subscriptions page under Settings " Payment Methods.

Can you get LinkedIn premium for free students?

Yes, but we strongly caution against doing so. While most services may allow students to take advantage of special pricing schemes, these often come with restrictions such as requiring credit cards or bank transfers. In addition, these types of deals usually aren't available forever, meaning they could end at any given moment.

In other words, while free trials might seem appealing, they shouldn't be considered a reliable way to save money on premium products and services. As soon as you stop using the trial period, you won't be eligible for any benefits whatsoever.

Instead, you should focus on finding free alternatives where possible. These include sites such as Hootsuite, Buffer, and Toggl. All three platforms help streamline various aspects of social media marketing, allowing you to schedule posts and manage content across several different networks simultaneously.

While each site does require users to provide their own login details, all three apps let you easily import existing contacts from LinkedIn and Instagram, giving you instant access to thousands of followers with little effort involved.

Keep in mind that none of these services work perfectly well right away. However, as you spend more time on each network, you'll learn exactly how to optimize your efforts and maximize results.

How do I get the student discount for LinkedIn premium?

For anyone looking to find employment opportunities, LinkedIn is definitely a must-have tool. But if you happen to live outside of North America, you may miss out on certain perks because of language barriers. To fix that problem, LinkedIn recently launched its Student Edition.

This version lets members receive additional discounts on courses offered by top universities and educational institutions worldwide. The company claims that this program provides access to 590 million students and graduates worldwide, helping those individuals find relevant training programs based on their interests.

As part of the deal, you can join the LinkedIn Education Program completely free of charge for six months. After that initial time frame expires, you’ll still be able to enjoy discounted rates. Plus, LinkedIn promises to continue offering exclusive deals throughout the school year until September 2021.

Although you won’t get unlimited access to educational courses, you will gain access to exclusive videos and resources that help you advance professionally and personally. And since many schools regularly release new classes and seminars every month, you never know when you’ll run into something useful.

Students can apply for the program online via the LinkedIn website. Once approved, you’ll receive access to the full range of education offerings on the platform, as well as the ability to communicate directly with instructors.

Is LinkedIn premium worth it for college students?

It depends entirely on whether or not you intend to use the service beyond your university studies. Although LinkedIn may prove helpful for job hunting purposes, its main value comes from networking. So if you already feel comfortable connecting with others via Facebook, Snapchat, and other channels, then you probably wouldn't benefit too much from joining LinkedIn.

On the other hand, if you don't yet understand why everyone seems obsessed with LinkedIn, then you should give the app another chance. Since the vast majority of LinkedIn users are employed adults, the platform is perfect for establishing relationships in the workplace and elsewhere.

Of course, if you want to pursue a career in journalism or writing, you should absolutely check out this link. Just remember that LinkedIn isn't necessarily the place where you go to establish yourself as an expert in your industry. Instead, you should primarily rely on articles published by reputable publications and YouTube channels.

While we don’t recommend spending hundreds of dollars per semester on expensive courses, you certainly don't have to settle for less quality materials. Check out our guide on how to become a better writer before diving into the world of academia.

Have you used LinkedIn before? What made you finally commit to becoming a member? Or maybe you have a story about signing up for LinkedIn during a particularly difficult time in your life. Share your thoughts below!

1.) Sign In With Google

When you first sign in with your Facebook or Gmail account on LinkedIn, it will ask if you want to link other accounts too. The same applies here - once you’ve linked another account, you can use that one instead of logging into LinkedIn using your email address.

Click Settings from the top navigation bar.

Select Account Settings within Settings.

You should see 2 options under Linked Accounts - Add an Email Address & Use Another Account.

If you click Add An Email Address, you can add any email address. If you choose Use Another Account, then LinkedIn will open up a page where you can select which existing account you want to use instead of your default email account.

After selecting your alternative account, LinkedIn will redirect you back to your profile page (if you were already logged in), and log you out of your current account. Once you log back in with your preferred login method, you can continue browsing all your saved content.

Why does this matter?

This feature allows you to avoid having to remember multiple passwords for each service you use online. You don't need to create separate usernames and password combinations for every site you visit. As long as you're able to access your most commonly used services through a single username and password combination, you'll be fine.

What's wrong with having multiple passwords?

LinkedIn is one of those services you either love or hate. Some people use it as their primary way to find jobs while others see it as an online resume database that they check occasionally. If you're in the second group, then you might be interested in trying out our guide on how to make your LinkedIn profile better than ever before. If you're in the first category, however, we suggest checking out some other ways to improve your professional network. But if you still want to give LinkedIn a try despite hating most things about the platform, here's why you should consider upgrading to its premium service.

The biggest advantage of using LinkedIn over alternatives such as Facebook is that you can easily connect with colleagues who share similar interests -- which makes finding new projects much easier. Plus, you'll always know when someone has added you to theirs, meaning you don't need to constantly keep tabs on whether or not you've been invited to something by someone else.

However, all this comes at a price (and even though the website itself doesn't explicitly mention any discounts for students, there are plenty of third-party sources claiming otherwise). So does LinkedIn actually offer a monthly subscription plan specifically aimed at college students? And is there a student version of LinkedIn available? Let's take a closer look.

Do students get a discount on LinkedIn premium?

According to LinkedIn's site, there isn't currently any kind of "student" option for users looking to save money on the company's paid plans. But that could change soon. In late 2020, LinkedIn announced that it was rolling out a student program called Prime Student that allows anyone under 25 years old to sign up for LinkedIn Premium without paying anything extra.

In fact, according to Business Insider, Prime Student will cost $20 per month instead of the usual $120 charge. The only catch is that you won't receive access to certain advertising platforms unless you pay more, but LinkedIn says these additional fees will help offset costs associated with marketing efforts geared toward young professionals.

Prime Student also includes benefits like priority support from customer success managers and exclusive deals through partners like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. Students can choose between two pricing tiers, depending on how many hours of work they expect to complete each week. For example, full-time students who log 40+ hours of work per week will pay $30 per month ($180 total) whereas part-timers who log 20 hours of work will pay $15 per month ($90 total).

Students will also get early access to special offers for products like Adobe software and Office 365, plus discounted rates at partner companies including Expedia, Starbucks, Apple, Lyft, and Uber.

Is there a student version of LinkedIn?

Unfortunately, no. There is no official version of LinkedIn designed specifically for students. However, since LinkedIn already has a lot of information stored about you (including details about where you went to school), it shouldn't be hard for them to figure out what universities you attended based on your email address alone. Then again, just because LinkedIn can track down your university name doesn't mean they'd necessarily want to advertise that info to potential employers.

So, you may end up having to switch schools every few years anyway. That being said, LinkedIn has recently introduced a feature called Your Story that lets you add personal accounts to your profile page. This means you can tell prospective employers stories about yourself and your past experiences outside of your résumé.

How do I upgrade to LinkedIn premium for free?

It turns out there is indeed a way to get your hands on LinkedIn Premium for free -- although it might require some effort on your part. According to LinkedIn, you can download the app to test drive the service for 30 days without committing to a long term contract. During this time, you'll be able to explore various sections of the app and decide whether or not you think it's worth subscribing to. Once you decide, you can cancel the membership within 60 days.

Here's how you can get started on your way towards becoming a LinkedIn power user.

1. Download the LinkedIn mobile app for iOS or Android from the App Store or Google Play store respectively.

2. Open the app and tap on the Profile tab.

3. Underneath your photo, click on the Get Started button.

4. Click Continue after entering your phone number and email address. You will now be taken to the onboarding process.

5. Enter your payment information into the form provided and follow the instructions.

6. After confirming your account via text message, your profile will automatically be updated with a link to your newly created LinkedIn account.

7. Go back to the main screen and open your My Career tab. Here you will be able to view your education history, skills, industry trends, and more.

8. To remove your LinkedIn data from your current mobile device, simply go into Settings and select Data & Privacy. Scroll down until you reach Remove Account Information and enter your password. Tap Confirm Password and confirm the removal request.

9. Now you can start exploring the rest of the app!

How do I get another free trial on LinkedIn?

Even if you aren't planning on signing up for LinkedIn today, you might be tempted to try it out. Fortunately, there are several different options for getting a taste of the service. First off, you can download the LinkedIn app for Windows 10 Mobile phones. Second, you can visit a couple of popular websites that let you create a free LinkedIn account for testing purposes. Finally, you can grab a free three-month trial directly from LinkedIn itself.

To activate your free trial, head over to the Sign Up section of the homepage and click on Try Free Trial. Next, fill in the necessary fields and submit your contact information. When you finish filling everything in, you'll be asked to verify your identity via your social media profiles.

After you successfully pass the verification step, you'll be redirected to your dashboard where you can start taking advantage of the LinkedIn tools right away.

One final thing to note is that LinkedIn's free trials expire after 90 days, so make sure you act quickly if you haven't yet signed up for a longer plan. Otherwise, you'll lose access to some valuable resources once your trial period ends.
