How do I add my Lynda certificate to LinkedIn?

How do I add my Lynda certificate to LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is one of the most popular professional networking platforms with more than 600 million users and over 500 million members worldwide. So it's no surprise that we see many people taking advantage of its benefits by adding their credentials here. If you've completed a course or attended an event and want to highlight your success, then you can use LinkedIn Certificates to make sure everyone knows about it. But before you start uploading your certificates, let us explain why you need them there.

Why do I need a Certificate on LinkedIn?

Certifications are useful when you're trying to prove something specific about yourself. For example, if you were applying for a job as a web developer and wanted to showcase all the certifications you had earned so far, they would look great at the end of the resume. Similarly, when someone completes a course, they might like to include the certificate from the leaderboard on their LinkedIn profile. You may also be wondering whether you could add a certificate in LinkedIn Learning after completing a certain module. The answer is yes! In fact, you don't even need to go through all these steps. Instead, you can simply click Add Certificate button (located between the Share & More options) and select which type of certificate you'd like to post. Let’s take a closer look at each option available online.

How do I upload certificate to LinkedIn?

If you feel confident enough, you can directly attach a document from Google Drive, Dropbox, Box or OneDrive directly into your LinkedIn profile. However, since some documents aren't supported, you'll probably need to convert them first using Microsoft Word Online Converter tool. Once converted, you will find the link under the Upload Documents section. Clicking this link will open up a new window where you can choose the file format (.docx,.pdf  and.txt ) and preview the content before uploading it. Select "Upload" once done.

However, if you prefer to keep things simple, simply copy paste the URL of any of the above links into the text box provided below. After doing so, just hit Enter and wait until the process finishes. You won't receive any notification regarding the successful upload either.

As mentioned earlier, you can now easily insert PDF files into your account without having to worry about converting them. To accomplish this task, follow the same procedure outlined above but instead of choosing the.DOCX file extension, choose.PDF.

You must note that LinkedIn doesn't allow you to upload multiple versions of the same certificate. If you try to do so, you will only receive a message saying that you cannot upload two different certificates.

How do I add a PDF certificate to LinkedIn?

To display a PDF certificate on your profile, you will need to sign-up for LinkedIn Premium membership ($99/year). It's worth noting that this feature requires you to submit your credit card details during registration. After signing-up, navigate to My Profile -- Your Summary section and click Edit next to your picture. From the dropdown menu, click Advanced Settings icon and scroll down till you reach the Certification section. Here you can enter the name of the certificate along with the description. Finally, press Save Changes. When finished, you can view the uploaded certificate on your profile page.

In addition to displaying documents, you can also use LinkedIn Certificates to send out invitations, reminders, updates and much more. Simply head back to your Account tab and click Send Invitations & Reminders to start sending messages. All of the information required such as certificate image size, title, recipient list, etc., needs to be entered manually.

How do I add a certification to my LinkedIn photo?

When you finish a course or attend an event, you will always receive a certificate of completion which displays the date and time of completion. Now, when you visit your profile, you will notice that a certificate has been added automatically. A small blue badge appears beside the photo and reads 'certificate'. Click on it to reveal more information including the date and location of the event. At present, you can only access this information via desktop version of LinkedIn. As soon as the company launches its mobile apps, you'll be able to check your events right away from anywhere.

How do I show learning certificates on LinkedIn?

The best way to demonstrate your expertise is to show off your achievements. Whether you received a diploma, certificate, or even a degree, you can proudly display it on your LinkedIN profile. You can also use other features such as badges, endorsements, recommendations, and testimonials to enhance your CV. To learn more about how to add a badge, read our guide titled How to Add LinkedIn Badge.

Here is a quick overview of how to create a recommendation, endorsement, and testimonial:

1. Go to your LinkedIn profile and click Recommendations & Endorsements. Then click Create a New Item.

2. Write a short sentence describing what makes you stand out among others. Make sure to mention relevant skills and experiences.

3. Choose the person who you recommend to. Depending on the number of referrals you have, you will be asked to provide additional details and instructions.

4. Lastly, fill in the information requested and click Submit.

5. Repeat Steps 1 - 4 whenever you wish to create another item.

6. Once ready, you can edit the items anytime you want and delete them completely if necessary.

7. Keep in mind that LinkedIn does require at least three reviews before approving your request.

That being said, you can also opt to leave a review on behalf of anyone else who helped you achieve your goal. Just remember to give them proper credits and mention their names accordingly.

Finally, if none of the above methods worked for you, you can always contact the support team via email. They will walk you through every step needed to add a certificate on LinkedIn.

For example, if you're currently enrolled in Lynda's Python Masterclass, here's how to post your certificate on LinkedIn. You might also find these instructions helpful when trying to add any other type of certificate to your LinkedIn profile.

In addition to sharing your certificates with friends and colleagues, there are plenty of reasons why you'd like to include them as part of your professional resume or bio section. Some employers may use your certificates to ensure that they know exactly which skills and experiences you possess. And once you've learned about the benefits of including credentials in your LinkedIn profile, you'll be eager to start adding them. So let's take a look at how to add a certificate to your LinkedIn profile.

How do I get my certificate from Lynda?

To download your certificate after watching our tutorial above, click the Download Certificate button below the image on the right side of the screen. The link will open up a separate window (you don't need to sign into your account). Click the blue Open File button next to the file name, then select Save As... in the menu bar. A pop-up box appears, asking whether you would like to save the document locally or send it directly to your email address. Select Email, enter your email address, and click Send. Your certificate will arrive via email within minutes. If you didn't receive an email notification, try checking your spam folder or contacting us directly through support@lyndacommunity.com.

Can you get certificates from Lynda com?

Yes! Certificates are available for purchase through Lynda.com, but you won't actually pay until after you finish taking the class. Once you register for each course, you'll see a tab titled "Certificate." Here you can access all of your certificates, even ones you've already purchased. In order to view your certificates, however, you must first log in using your Lynda username and password. Then, you can choose which classes you've taken under My Courses & Credits. From there, you can filter your list based on the date you took the class and the number of credit hours earned.

From here, you'll notice that there are two sections for viewing your certificates: Learn More and View Certificate. To view your certificate, simply click the Learn More button, scroll down, and locate the certificate you wish to display. When you hover over the Learn More button, it will change color to indicate that it contains additional information. Hovering over the View Certificate button reveals a dropdown menu containing several options for displaying your certificate. Simply check the option you prefer, and click Next Step.

As soon as you confirm your selection, the certificate will appear on your profile page. However, you still have to go back to Lynda.com and login again in order to finalize your purchase. After logging in, return to your My Courses page and make sure you're viewing the correct certificate. Scroll down until you reach the Purchase Now button. Press Enter to proceed.

Next, you'll be asked whether you'd like to buy another certificate, renew your current certificate, or cancel the transaction. Choose Renew, and continue filling out the necessary fields. Finally, press Submit Order to begin purchasing your certificate(s) and/or renewals. At this point, you'll receive an email confirmation letting you know that your license has been successfully renewed.

After you've redeemed your certificate, you'll see it listed among the rest of your certificates under Your Certificates. Just remember to keep track of the URL so you can easily reference it whenever someone asks. To view it, just visit Lynda.com and navigate to your personal profile page. On the left sidebar, you'll find a section called Certificates, followed by a link for All Certificates. Click the arrow beside the relevant certificate to expand its details.

For now, we're going to focus on the steps required to obtain your certificate. But once you've got it, you can always come back to this article and revisit these tips for adding certificates to LinkedIn profiles.

How do I get my certs from LinkedIn?

LinkedIn provides a few different ways to add a certificate of completion to your profile. There are three main categories:

1. Upload your certificate manually

2. Add it automatically from the Lynda website

3. Create a custom icon

Let's walk through each method step-by-step. First, head to your Profile Settings page and scroll down to the Bio section. Under Other Information, click Edit Profile, then fill in the blank space located underneath Summary.

Here, you'll be able to customize your About Me section by typing up a short description of yourself. Be sure to mention any experience related to the course you've received your certificate for. Also, make note of the URLs for certificates you've posted publicly elsewhere.

Finally, you'll need to provide your Linkedin user ID. This could either be your full Linkedin email address or your company domain. Make sure you update both of these fields before continuing.

When you're done, hit Preview Changes and review your updated summary. If everything looks good, click Update Profile.

Now, head back to the Certificates section of your Profile settings page. Here, you'll see a couple of icons representing certificates you've uploaded manually. Each one represents a specific kind of certificate, such as Microsoft Office Online Training Course Certification or Salesforce Professional Development Certification.

Click the appropriate icon to reveal your certificates. These can consist of text files (.txt), PDF documents (.pdf), or links to external websites (e.g.,.edu domains). Keep in mind that only certain types of certificates work well with LinkedIn. While most certifications contain text content, others require images or videos.

Additionally, depending on the format of your certification, you might not be allowed to attach it to your profile. In fact, you may encounter issues uploading certifications with too many hyperlinks to individual pages. If this happens, try removing the extra links before attempting to upload it again.

Lastly, you can create your own customized badge by clicking Custom Badge. Here, you can paste in any HTML code you'd like to represent your certification. You'll then be prompted to pick a background color and font style. Lastly, you can preview your creation before pressing Publish.

Do you get a certificate for completing LinkedIn Learning?

Unfortunately, no. LinkedIn Learning doesn't offer official certification programs similar to Lynda. Instead, you'll need to rely on third party companies offering their services through LinkedIn Learning. For instance, Pluralsight offers a variety of certificates covering topics ranging from data science to cybersecurity.

However, these aren't actual certificates issued by LinkedIn itself. They're created independently by third parties who have partnered with LinkedIn Learning to deliver training materials. Therefore, the certificate you receive isn't connected to your LinkedIn account in anyway. You can read more about the differences between LinkedIn Learning certificates and real ones here.

Regardless of who creates your certificate, it's important to understand what constitutes a valid certification. That being said, there are a handful of common mistakes people tend to make when creating their certificates.

The first thing you need to consider is whether or not your certificate qualifies as official certification. Many organizations issue badges or certifications for employees seeking promotion within their respective industries. If this describes you, you should definitely include your certificate as proof of success.

Secondly, make sure to properly cite the source of your certification. If you used a printed copy of a book to prove your knowledge of programming language X, it wouldn't matter much if this was the only way you were able to obtain certification. However, if you did the same exercise to become certified in Java, it makes sense to credit the author of that book.

Third, make sure to include contact information for the person issuing your certificate. Even if you feel confident enough to give out your phone number or home address without fear of reprisal, it never hurts to protect yourself against potential legal repercussions.

And finally, don't forget to check the expiration dates of your certificates. Depending on the circumstances surrounding your certificate, you may have a limited time frame during which you can use it. Always double check the expiry date because if it expires sooner than expected, you might end up losing the privileges associated with it entirely.

If you are looking for ways to stand out and showcase your career skills or achievements through social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and others, then LinkedIn is one platform that can help you achieve this goal easily. The best part about using LinkedIn as an online resume is its extensive feature set which includes connecting with people from all over the world, sharing professional updates, finding jobs and more.

You may already be well aware of some of these features but if you aren't, we will walk you through them here so that you know exactly why they're important. LinkedIn offers several different types of Certificates ranging from courses completed from Udemy to certifications earned from Lynda.com. You can choose any type of Certificate depending upon the knowledge level and skill sets needed by the hiring manager. However, there are certain things that are common across every Certificate. Here are some of those things:

Certification URL - It is the link that goes directly to your Certificate page where you can access the details about the Certification such as date of issuance, number of points awarded etc.

All of the above mentioned elements appear once you click on the "Show Details" button next to the specific Certificate. So now let's look into adding your first Certificate to your LinkedIn profile.

To begin, open up your LinkedIn account and log in to your profile. Then click on the "Courses Completed" tab located under your Profile header. Now select the "Add Course Completion" option under the "Course Completions" dropdown menu.

Next, scroll down until you find the "Learn More About My Certificates" section. Click on the "+" sign next to the Certificates listed in the left sidebar and enter the name of the Certificate. In the space provided after entering the name, paste the following text:

Note: Make sure that you provide the full URL (including protocol) of the Certificate you'd like to display. For example, if the URL is www.lynda.com/xyz12345, then replace xyz12345 with the actual ID of the Certificate. Also, note that the URL must include ".html". After pasting the Certificate URL, press Enter.

Now, select the "Verify Certificate" button. Your status message appears below stating that your Certificate is waiting approval. When approved, it gets added to your profile immediately.

When you receive the Approved Certificate notification, simply click on the Verified Certificate Notification icon located near the top right corner of your screen. Next, copy the entire text below the image displayed and paste it onto your LinkedIn Status Update.

Here's another way to verify whether your Certificate is ready or not. Simply go to the Certificate URL and hit F5 key. If the Certificate is available on the website, it will automatically redirect you to the Certificate page. Otherwise, you would need to wait for the site to load completely before being redirected to the Certificate page.

Once you've successfully posted the Certificate on your LinkedIn profile, take a moment to share it on other social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram.
