Once you make this page look good, you should start adding information about yourself which includes things like employment history, awards won, professional certifications, educational background and other accomplishments. Now let us move onto another essential component of your LinkedIn Profile – Your Summary. In this section, you tell prospective clients about your company, its mission statement and vision. It’s not necessary to write long paragraphs here, rather keep the summary short and sweet. Make sure everything you put here adds value to the reader. The last paragraph should end with something related to why someone should choose your company instead of the competitors.

Next comes the Experience Section. Here you talk about past jobs and experiences you had while working for different companies. Include anything from small projects to large ones and mention your responsibilities along with the names of your employers. If possible, include links to websites and blogs written by you.

Include one photo of yourself. Remember to stay away from photos of you smiling in front of your desk, as this may come off as fake. Instead, try including pictures of you holding a trophy or standing next to your car after winning a race.
