You have two options here: pay $10 per month to view them or subscribe to the paid course option for unlimited access. Do employers look at LinkedIn Learning?

According to CareerBuilder survey, 44% of hiring managers said that they consider candidates' professional profiles on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Google+, etc., when making an offer. However, only 9% of those respondents stated that they would check job applicants' LinkedIn profile. As for other sites, 22% checked candidates' YouTube channels, 19% looked into their blogs, 17% scanned their Instagram posts, 12% scrolled through their Snapchats, and 11% browsed their Pinterest pages. Of course, not all of these applications are equally useful in terms of getting hired. But still, LinkedIn stands out among all the rest as it allows companies to quickly narrow down potential hires who have already shown interest in certain positions within their organization.

If you plan to apply for jobs using LinkedIn, then make sure that you follow its best practices so that your profile attracts attention of prospective employers. First off, ensure that you create a compelling summary section which features a clear call to action to reach out to the company. Make sure that the content of your Summary section includes keywords related to the position being applied for. Also add relevant skills and experience sections so that your profile speaks volumes about yourself. Another important thing to remember is to keep your updates short and sweet. Remember, it’s better to post once than miss out on opportunities altogether.

LinkedIn Learning does provide a way to showcase your expertise via Certificates. These digital documents show the level of knowledge that you possess in specific areas. Can employers See LinkedIn Learning?

Yes, employers can actually see your progress in LinkedIn Learning. To verify your credentials, simply log onto your account and click the View Credentials button under your picture. On the next page, select the desired course and review your achievements. In addition, you can always ask LinkedIn to send you a report.

However, your employer shouldn't expect too much from LinkedIn Learning. Most of the time, employees spend less than five minutes reviewing each lesson. Besides, it takes around 30 days to complete each course. That means you need to dedicate roughly eight hours per week to stay ahead of the game. And since you won't necessarily work full-time, this amount may seem unrealistic considering that you probably have classes, homework assignments, extracurricular activities, and other responsibilities outside of the workplace.

Also note that your employer cannot request additional information regarding your training unless you explicitly agree to share it.

Do recruiters look at LinkedIn Learning?

Recruitment agencies usually hire individuals based on their qualifications rather than on their resumes alone. While a well-written resume helps convince a potential employee that he or she can fit into a particular role, a good candidate presentation does wonders to persuade recruiters to give him or her a chance to interview. Recruiters often choose between multiple applicants for a single open position. When deciding whom to invite to interview, they usually rely heavily on recommendations provided by previous colleagues. Hence, it makes sense for recruiters to look at your LinkedIn profile first.

In fact, according to Forbes magazine, 65 percent of professionals surveyed believe that recruiting firms conduct background checks on job seekers. Furthermore, nearly 60 percent say that they'd prefer to work with an applicant whose profile shows evidence of success. What's more, almost 80 percent of workers believe that a successful candidate's LinkedIn profile reveals key insights about his or her personality. Thus, if you want to impress potential employers, you should definitely include a link to your LinkedIn profile on your resume.

Should I put LinkedIn Learning courses on my resume?

No. Employers may not care about your past accomplishments but they certainly appreciate your recent experiences. Instead of trying to prove your worthiness by including a list of former degrees and certifications, focus instead on demonstrating your current abilities. After all, your job application materials should reflect your strengths and capabilities, not your history.

For example, if you were recently promoted to manager after working for several years as a project coordinator, highlight your new title along with details of your duties. Alternatively, if you worked as a sales associate, explain why you made great strides over the last year. Your goal isn't to sell yourself short but to communicate clearly and concisely. Use bullet points to condense long paragraphs into easy-to-read sentences.

Your objective is to convey your value proposition to potential employers. Don't forget to mention anything positive that happened to you over the past few months. Focus on the highlights of your journey rather than dwelling on failures.

However, you may still encounter issues while trying to log into certain sections of the website due to technical reasons.  For example, if you try to access a specific section via mobile device, you’ll likely end up seeing “This page isn’t working” instead of being redirected to the homepage.

You should avoid such situations altogether by logging onto LinkedIn with desktop devices only. The same goes for accessing pages that require cookies, such as the My Profile tab located under Settings " Security & Privacy " Cookies & Site Data.

As long as you stick to the main navigation bar across every page on LinkedIn, you shouldn’t run into any problems. It doesn’t matter if you’re signed in or not either, since all users have equal rights to view the site’s contents regardless of whether they have accounts or not.

Can I get LinkedIn Learning for free with library card?

It turns out that not all schools offer free access to education resources, including LinkedIn Learning. For instance, let’s say you’re enrolled in a university that does allow students to take advantage of free courses. When signing up for your school ID, you’ll probably be asked to enter a password to prove it belongs to you. Once you provide this information, you’ll be given a unique link that you can share with classmates and friends.

With that link, they can then choose to enroll themselves in any number of LinkedIn Learning courses without having to spend a single dime. There’s nothing stopping you from doing the exact same thing either, provided you register for yourself first. Just remember to change the URL whenever someone else uses it, otherwise you could accidentally start sharing another person’s account details.

Since you’ll need to create your own account anyway, why not give it a shot right away? That way, you’ll be able to start exploring the vast amount of knowledge waiting for you inside LinkedIn Learning.

Can I get LinkedIn premium free as a student?

Once again, the answer depends on your academic status. While almost every major American university offers free access to their students, others charge hefty fees to cover the rising price of higher education. Luckily, many of them also include free courses from LinkedIn Learning among their offerings.

To locate which programs are included within your particular institution, simply head to the official websites for each campus and click on Education & Training. From there, you’ll land on a page listing all the relevant free courses available for enrollment.

Keep in mind that you cannot enroll for free if you’ve graduated. Likewise, you can’t apply to colleges until you’ve completed high school. At least, according to my research. So if you’d really like to pursue higher studies but aren’t quite ready to leave home yet, consider looking elsewhere.

Of course, if you decide to attend a private school, chances are good that the admissions office will waive the fee entirely. Otherwise, you can always ask for assistance from your financial aid department. As far as public schools are concerned, however, you’ll have to foot the bill yourself unless you qualify for scholarships or grants.

Can you get LinkedIn premium for free as a student?

Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no. After completing your undergraduate degree, you will no longer enjoy free access to LinkedIn Premium. Instead, you’ll need to purchase a subscription plan directly through LinkedIn.

However, if you’re interested in keeping your professional profile updated, LinkedIn Premium is definitely worth checking out. With it, you can set up alerts for important job opportunities, connect with potential employers, and boost your visibility with targeted advertising campaigns.

On top of that, you can also benefit from advanced analytics tools designed to analyze data collected from your audience and improve your personal results accordingly. All things considered, LinkedIn Premium is a worthwhile investment for anyone pursuing employment outside his or her current field.

LinkedIn has made several announcements that its premium services will be available at no cost to all users. This includes the ability to earn certificates using your professional network without paying anything extra. 

You might think that LinkedIn's new move is nothing more than an attempt by them to keep people on their website rather than going elsewhere but there are some very good reasons why this could actually help everyone involved. We'll take a look at how it works and what benefits it offers.

In case you haven’t heard already, LinkedIn announced in January 2021 that they would make many of their paid products free for anyone who signed up. That included the option to sign up for premium accounts for free. The company also said that this was part of a “new era of education” where they would roll out a series of free online classes called Linked-Up University.

This program started off slowly over the next few months with one course per week being released each month. By July 2021, however, the total number of courses had increased significantly with almost 70% of those offered now being completely free. You may still need to pay for other things such as textbooks or equipment needed for certain lessons but the vast majority of everything else required to complete these courses is provided entirely for free.

How long is LinkedIn Learning free?

At the time of writing, the first six weeks of the semester were completely free so you should have plenty of opportunity to try out the platform. After that, however, you’ll need to purchase credits which range between $9-$15 depending on the level of class you choose. If you want to upgrade to the full version after taking the initial free course, then that costs an additional $19.95.

However, there is a way around this. Once you start taking courses through Linked-Up University, you can use your existing profile information to create another account under the same email address. From here, you can log into both profiles simultaneously and continue working towards earning your Certificate of Achievement. At the end of the semester, when you've earned enough certifications, you'll receive your final certificate which you can display proudly on your resume!

It sounds complicated but it really isn’t because once you know exactly how to proceed, it takes just seconds to set up two separate accounts. It doesn’t require any special software either – simply visit the site where you registered and click the link asking you to verify your identity. Then follow the instructions on screen until you’ve created your second account.

There is a slight delay while the verification code gets sent to your phone, but once you confirm receipt, you’re ready to begin taking your free courses.

Is LinkedIn Learning no longer free?

As mentioned above, the original plan was for Linked-Up University to run for the entire year. However, due to the pandemic, that timeline changed quite dramatically. As of August 26th, 2020, the official announcement stated that the last day of the school term would be September 24th. So far, only three days remain.

That means that if you want to finish these courses, you won’t have much time left. In fact, you might not even have time to register for future courses since all remaining ones have been reserved for current students. But fear not, as you have until October 1st to finish everything before the school closes down forever. Just remember to act quickly!

Does LinkedIn Learning expire?

No, unlike previous programs, Linked-Up University does not automatically shut down after the fall semester ends. Instead, you’ll need to manually cancel your subscription before November 30th in order for your account to close permanently.

Once you cancel your subscription, you cannot rejoin unless you have a valid reason for doing so. For example, if you’ve moved away from campus or otherwise lost contact with friends, you can always request reactivation via the customer service page found within the app.

Remember though, that cancelling your subscription does not mean your work is done. Your name remains associated with your LinkedIn profile so employers can find you easily. They will still appear in searches and job postings, making it easy for recruiters to reach out to you. However, you will lose all progress on your certificates and will have to start fresh again if you ever decide to return.

Keep in mind that LinkedIn Learning is a great resource for professionals looking to expand their knowledge base. If you aren’t sure whether or not you qualify, you can always ask someone who knows you well. They can tell you whether or not you meet the requirements and give you tips on improving yourself further.

How long do you have access to LinkedIn Learning?

Each user has 60 calendar days to complete his or her entire coursework. During that period, you will need to stay active by completing assignments and submitting homework regularly. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of your enrollment.

After that, you will have to wait for approval from the instructor to become fully enrolled. Once approved, you will have 90 calendar days to accomplish everything outlined in the syllabus. Again, failure to submit assignments will lead to cancellation of your enrollment.

During this waiting period, instructors will periodically review your performance and provide feedback to improve your grade accordingly. When you pass a test, the instructor will award you with a letter grade based upon your overall effort throughout the duration of the course.

When you finally graduate, you’ll receive a diploma and accompanying certificate. These documents come directly from the university and include your name and photo along with details regarding your academic record. All of this material comes packaged together to form the official document you can show off to prospective employers.

Do you feel tempted to skip ahead of your classmates and start taking advantage of free LinkedIn Learning right away? While it's tempting, it's important to understand that you risk losing valuable experience you wouldn't be able to recover later.

For instance, let's say you enroll in a single class and fail to complete the required tasks. Later on, you realize you missed something crucial which prevents you from passing the exam. Unless you retake the class, you'll never be eligible for that particular certificate. And if you miss too many deadlines, you'll be unable to complete your degree and you'll have wasted precious time trying to catch up.
